Storytime with Daddy

Carolina Grace watches everything Ella Rose does...priceless

Daddy's losing Carolina Grace...hey what do you expect from a 4 month old

Every night our little ritual starting around 6:30 is to give the girls baths, read them a couple of story's, say our prayers and then tuck them into bed by 7:00. For the last month Carolina Grace has even gotten in on the action since she is now on the same schedule as her Sister. Ian especially enjoys reading to the girls and this one night he made it home right before the girls were heading to bed so he came up and read to them even before changing his uniform...is he awesome or what! Our girls adore their Daddy, and it just melts my heart to watch my sweet husband with them.

ian is such a good daddy! i love that it's anthony's thing to read to the boys and put them to bed. they look so forward to that time with just dad. probably because they've been with me all day and need a change of scenery! ha! :) i can't wait for addison to get in on the action. she's on an 8pm bed time b/c i need her to wake up later in the morning (so i can have myself and everyone else ready before i start with her...the logistics of three...a little different than two as you'll find out eventually) so they get put to bed first. she'll be in the mix before we know it! we are so blessed to have these awesome men in our lives who understand the importance of the little things that make all the difference in a child's life! they're building a relationship!!

Wonderful photos and story, sweetie! I love the looks on Carolina Grace's face. It reminds me of the way Jarrod tries to do everything Heath and Amelia do.

I can see those girls now, when they are grown with babies of their own, to want a copy of these pictures to show their own children. They are indeed wonderful memories!

Those are sweet pictures for precious moments. They are fleeting. I try to remember that every day.

I used to make up these little bedtime stories for Kristin. I called them "Dog Named Leroy" stories, and I thought they were just goofy little musings to entertain her. Well, they were pretty goofy, but I can't tell you how many times she has mentioned those stories since then, and with such fondness. So, Beth is right when she cites the importance of the "little things." They really do make all the difference.
