We LOVE celebrating birthdays and back in May, Ms. Bertie turned 87 years old! Now if you don't know who Ms. Bertie is, she is a wonderful lady whom we met at our church who kept the nursery/children for many many years. We had the privilege of meeting her and her sweet daughter Kay when they kept Carolina Grace when we first started going to our church. You know how you just like someone immediately and it just warms your heart when you see them...well this is the way it is with Ms. Bertie and Ms. Kay...they are just GREAT folks and down to earth which I LOVE...the girls ADORE them and so do we but it's easy to love people who make it clear that they love your children!

I fixed Chicken Pot Pie and Salad for Supper
and then we had the Coconut Cake...I didn't know this but Ms. Bertie said that was one of her favorite cakes...well of course it is... she is a true Southern lady and all Southerners eat coconut!

What a precious lady and her birthday is the same day as my Papa Davis' on May 26...my Papa would have been 95 years old this year.
Little miss pig tails with Ms. Kay
Every time you would see Ms. Bertie at church she was huggin' on a child or a baby...children just know they are loved by her and Ms. Kay
Carolina Grace getting in the middle of it all
I wish I would have told Ella Rose to do a "goofy face" when we went to the Dr. last week and they were concerned she may have strep...I swear you can see her tonsils in this picture!
Sweet times
