Ella Rose's last German swimming lesson and Carolina Grace's 1st

Back in September Ella Rose took her last swimming lesson at the German Hospital and Carolina Grace took her very 1st. Her swimming lesson was actually supposed to start the next week, but Heike, a German midwife who was there during Carolina Grace's birth and taught Ella Rose how to dive since she was only 3 1/2 months old decided to go ahead and introduce Carolina Grace to the water. The Germans believe that the baby can remember how to hold their breath since they were submerged in water from the womb so if you introduce them to the water early enough, they will feel really comfortable with it from the beginning.

Carolina Grace loved it and just 2 weeks ago dived (went under water) for the first time without even a wimper. Heike kept telling me that Carolina Grace is kinda "nosey" because she kept looking around at all the other babies (including Ella Rose) in the water and checking up on what they were doing. I'm not surprised one bit because if she's like her Sister and her Mama, she doesn't want to miss a thing.
