Easter Egg Hunt

The Big Easter Egg Hunt at The Villages, FL (where Mimi and Papa live)

Making our way to the field for younger children

Does Carolina Grace look like she knows what she is there for or what???

Waiting for the Easter Egg hunt to start

Any opportunity to wear a Southern Belle Hat, I'll do it!

Mama and her girls

Time for a family picture...not sure what Carolina is doing!

The girls with Mimi and Papa

You see how we're sitting right up at the line...we're not gonna miss a thing!

UH OH...Carolina saw the eggs spread out on the field and she decided to go for it!

Mama on a mission to retrieve her child

Rounding up the girls back towards the starting line...I sure hope we're invited back next year! Hee Hee!

Carolina Grace not too excited about being brought back...she's thinking, "So what am I here for if I'm not supposed to pick up those eggs?"

Papa getting in on the action and taking her back closer to the fence and she is STILL struggling

Bless her little heart...she looks so sad

Still looking at all those colorful eggs on the field and wondering why she's not out there!

REGROUPING

And the whistle blew...AND THEY WERE OFF!!!

YEA...FINALLY

Ella Rose was so excited about what was IN the egg that she started opening them and eating the candy right there on the spot which of course slowed her down from getting a lot of eggs! She collected 3 and Carolina got 9!

Trying to encourage Ella Rose to NOT eat her candy until later...she's so deprived...of course she never gets CHOCOLATE eggs until Easter so she was eager to say the least!

I must open this piece of candy now!

Still trying

At this point we are counting the eggs and Carolina's basket is pretty full!

Ella Rose is like her Daddy...once she starts a project by golly she is going to finish it!

After the "official" hunt was over the girls started running around the field having the time of their lives!

Everybody needs a PAPA to help open candy! My Daddy is such a trooper!

This little girl is WIDE OPEN!

That's a wad of chewing gum in her mouth...first time ever chewing gum!

Carolina Grace has no problem keeping up with her Sister

They're gonna sleep well tonight!

With 2 little girls...meltdowns happen OFTEN!

We all had such a GREAT TIME!

And of course Peter Cottontail was there!

Our sweet girls

Back on the golf cart taking our Easter Baskets and candy with us to Mimi and Papa's!

The only thing that would have made the day even more perfect would have been if 3 more little grand-blessings would have been there! Didn't we have the best time! The girls were adorable ....and yes, the hunt was so cute. We did not know that we could have had that good of time in only 2 minutes, did we!

Love,
Mimi and Papa

Oh they are just a hoot and a half. LOVE the pic of CG looking all forlorn. That's a contest winner for sure. Don't know what contest, but cute, cute, CUTE! I guess ER has everyone beat b/c she can RUN and chew gum at the same time, not just walk! Adorable girls + Sweet family = God's Beauty and then some!
