Carolina Grace's 1st Christmas!

Chillin' out under the Christmas Tree

Daddy and his girl

Although the pix is blurry, I love it because Carolina Grace tilts her head backwards all the time so she can see her Daddy

A sweet friend of mine Cheri who lives in FL shared with me a tradition their family has been doing for years. They go around and look at Christmas lights and choose the BEST decorated house. Each child (they have 4) chooses their favorite and then they take home made cookies to the family. As a child going around looking at Christmas lights was one of my favorite things to do with my family so this year we started a new tradition too and had so much fun going around and checking out all the lights and picking out our FAVORITE! This year we just chose one house but I'm sure next year Carolina Grace will have an opinion too so we'll be taking 2 batches of cookies to 2 different homes for 2009.
Ella Rose had a ball!
But it was pretty cold so we bundled the girls up from head to toe
The WINNER had snowflakes hanging all around the outside of the house as well as lit up packages at the front door which Ella Rose loved. The family had 2 children, and they seemed excited to be the recipient of the award for "best decorated home" as well as the recipient of homemade cookies too.

Going back home

Mimi took this pix of Ian and Ella Rose signing my Christmas cards...Ian knows I never want anything, but I absolutely love cards so he usually gets me one from the girls and several from him! Is he the best or what!!!
